Terms and Conditions
Last updated September 27, 2026
These terms cover the Timelapse Tool website and the Timelapse Tool iPhone app. By using either one, you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. Creating an account in the app is agreement to both.
The service
Timelapse Tool calculates shot interval, event duration, clip length, frame count, playback frames per second, and an estimated stills size. It is a planner. It does not shoot the timelapse. You shoot with your own camera and intervalometer. Photos you attach in the app are location previews for a saved setup, not the frames of the timelapse.
Results are estimates based on the numbers you enter. Whole frames are what a camera can actually shoot, so the planner rounds to an integer frame count. You are responsible for card space, power, exposure, and whether the numbers fit the shoot.
Accounts
An account is optional and is offered in the iPhone app. You can sign in with Apple or Google. You are responsible for the account you use and for activity under it. We may refuse or end an account that is used to disrupt the service or break these terms.
Saved plans you store in the cloud remain yours. You give us permission to store, sync, and delete them as needed to provide backup and restore, including a cap of 50 plans shown on a device. Delete account removes those plans, their photos, and the account.
Purchases
Remove Ads is a one-time in-app purchase sold by Apple. Apple’s payment terms apply, including refunds. The purchase is tied to your Apple ID. Restoring purchases is available in the app. We do not offer a separate cash refund outside Apple. If you downloaded the app from the App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple is not responsible for the app or its content, and support requests go to [email protected].
Advertising
The free app and the web planner include advertising from Google. Remove Ads applies to AdMob units in the iPhone app. It does not remove ads on the website.
Acceptable use
Use the planner for planning timelapse shoots. Do not misuse the service. That includes trying to break or overload it, accessing another person’s account, scraping it in a way that degrades it for others, or using it to violate the law.
Our content
The Timelapse Tool name, the site, the app, and their design and code are ours. These terms do not transfer that ownership to you. You may use the planner for your own shoots. You may not copy the app or the site and offer it as your own product.
Disclaimer
The website and the app are provided as is. We do not warrant that a calculation will match a particular camera, that cloud backup will be available without interruption, or that ads and sign-in providers will always respond. Planning with Timelapse Tool does not guarantee a successful shoot.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for lost photos, filled cards, missed events, lost profits, or any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the planner. Our total liability for a claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for Remove Ads in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty U.S. dollars if you paid nothing.
Ending use
You can stop using the website or delete the app at any time. You can delete a cloud account from the app. We may suspend access if these terms are broken. Sections that should survive ending use, including ownership, disclaimers, and liability limits, still apply.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top of this page will change when we do. If you keep using the website or the app after that date, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the service and delete any cloud account.
